Ben Simmons Shuts Down Culture Kings Melbourne
We knew it would be something to remember, but we didn't think Ben Simmon's in-store appearance at Culture Kings Melbourne would be quite as big as it was with people literally queued around the entire block to get a photo with the man himself; it was huge!
The 2017-18 rookie of the year showed up to the store to a sea of people crowding his car and chanting his name.
He was in for a surprise too, as the CK team unveiled a mural of Simmons done by local artist Jimmy, aka DVate (@dvate). He was absolutely blown away and even after all the crowds had gone, Simmons returned to Hosier Lane to get his own personal pics of the mural.
After the unveiling, Simmons made his way into the store where he took the time to meet with every fan in the VIP line and got group photos with everyone in the General Access line. He even went for a walk out the front of the store, with the help of security and police, to get a few selfies for everyone waiting outside.
That wasn't it though! After taking the time to meet with all his fans, Simmons took to the in-store half court to shoot some hoops and smashing out some dunks. He also had a go at the Holy Grail where him and his mates were playing to win a pair of the Off White Nike Vapormax and Jordan 1 Retro High Off White Chicagos.
Simmons has been coming into Culture Kings since around 2012 when he used to drop into the CK Barbershop. It was great to have him back but also crazy to see how far he's grown in such a short time.
He also spent extra time after the meet and greet to get photos with fans on his way out of the store so no one was left disappointed.
