Kawhi Leonard Has Been Traded To The Toronto Raptors
Despite Rumours that the San Antonio Spurs would only trade Kawhi Leonard for huge names, they have settled on trading both Leonard and Danny Green to the Toronto Raptors for DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first-round pick.
The trade between Toronto and San Antonio has been in talks for two weeks. Sources close to DeRozan told ESPN that DeRozan met with Toronto officials during summer league and believed that he would not be traded.

Raptors president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri is making the deal with the idea that he can convince Leonard to re-sign with the Raptors next summer in free agency, offering a five-year, $190 million contract. Leonard, however, has been very vocal about his plans to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers when free agency commences.
Spurs coach said: "Kawhi conducted himself wonderfully while he was here...At this point, it's time to move on. I'm concerned about Jakob and DeMar and our basketball team. We've got a lot of young kids and it's exciting."
