Paul George Explains Why He Didn't Go To The Lakers, Cops Heat
Paul George surprised many when he returned to Oklahoma City Thunder during this year's free agency when fans expected he would come back to the Lakers to join LeBron in his hometown.
George released a three-part documentary on this decision titled 'My Journey', and the first episode is causing some controversy.
He says: "I 100 percent appreciate Laker Nation for wanting me to come back home, wanting me to play in front of them," George says. "I wanted to come here a year ago prior to going to OKC. Unfortunately, [I] wasn't traded to [the] Lakers. Lakers didn't grab me. I was traded to Oklahoma. That has been a beautiful thing for me."
Fans saw this as a pretty lax reason, considering with free agency George was able to choose whoever he wanted to play for. Check out the video and the reactions below.
