Cristinano Ronaldo Signs A $117M Deal With Juventus
Football heavyweight Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a USD $117 million deal with Juventus, leaving Real Madrid after almost 10 years.
The Portuguese forward has been in the midst of leaving rumours for about a month, and now Real Madrid has confirmed the move from Spain to Italy for approximately
€100 million. Ronaldo played for Real Madrid for nine years, singing from Manchester United for USD $110 million at the time. With Madrid, Ronaldo has won the Champions League four times and the Spanish league twice. Italian champions Juventus have won each of the last seven Italian league titles.
Real Madrid released the following statement, citing that Ronaldo has "become the top scorer in the history of Real Madrid with 451 goals in 438 games. In total 16 titles, including 4 European Cups, 3 of them consecutive and 4 in the last 5 seasons. On an individual basis, with the Real Madrid jersey he has won 4 Gold Balls, 2 The Best, and 3 Gold Boots, among many other awards."
They go on to say that Ronaldo "will always be one of the great symbols and a unique reference for the next generations. Real Madrid will always be your home."
